Oliver Marmol, 37, is about to begin his third year as the manager of the St. Louis Cardinals.
The Cardinals have a history of being a successful organization, regularly competing for the top spot in the National League Central Division.
During Marmol’s first two years, the Cardinals experienced mixed outcomes.
In 2022, Marmol led the Cardinals to win the National League Central, finishing with a record of 93-69, seven games ahead of the second-place Milwaukee Brewers.
Unfortunately, in that postseason, the Cardinals were eliminated in the Wild Card round, losing both games to the Philadelphia Phillies.
Last season, the Cardinals ended up in last place in the division, finishing 21 games behind the division champion Brewers.
