The Philadelphia Phillies are poised to enter the MLB All-Star break as one of baseball’s top teams. Despite recent injuries to key players like Bryce Harper, Kyle Schwarber, and Spencer Turnbull, they’ve managed to keep winning games.

While currently seen as strong contenders for the World Series, there are areas where the Phillies could benefit from improvement. With the MLB trade deadline approaching, Philadelphia is expected to aggressively pursue upgrades, particularly in their bullpen.

Phillies Nation has identified five potential trade targets: Jason Adam (Tampa Bay Rays), Carlos Estevez (Los Angeles Angels), Tanner Scott (Miami Marlins), Paul Sewald (Arizona Diamondbacks), and Jason Foley (Detroit Tigers). Among these, Scott stands out with his impressive season stats: a 1.46 ERA, 1.11 WHIP, 12 saves, and minimal blown opportunities.

Adam also offers consistency, boasting a 1.86 ERA and 0.88 WHIP with the Rays, while Sewald has excelled with a 1.56 ERA and 0.63 WHIP in his appearances this season.

These acquisitions could significantly bolster the Phillies’ bullpen, enhancing their championship aspirations. Expect Philadelphia to make bold moves in the coming weeks to solidify their roster for a playoff push.
