The Detroit Lions have appointed Kevin Zeitler as their new starting right guard for the 2024 season. Zeitler, a veteran, joined the team as a free agent after spending three seasons with the Baltimore Ravens.
Despite this, Zeitler has yet to participate in any practice sessions open to the media for Detroit. The 34-year-old is still recovering from knee and ankle injuries that prematurely ended his 2023 season with the Ravens. Although Zeitler attended minicamp, he did not take part in any on-field team drills.
Offensive line coach Hank Fraley dismissed any worries about Zeitler not being prepared to perform in Detroit.
