Ballinamallard United academy director Derek Sharpe believes that Sean Corry has the potential to succeed at Derby County after securing a move to Pride Park.

The promising attacker has signed a two-year scholarship deal with the Rams after catching their attention with his impressive performances for Northern Ireland under-15s. Corry will now aim to climb the ranks as Derby prepares for their return to the Championship, focusing on both their present and future prospects.

Sharpe is confident that 17-year-old Corry, who had also attracted interest from Manchester United, has the skills and ability to thrive at Derby.

“I am delighted that Sean has secured his move to Derby County, which is richly deserved given his hard work and dedication over the years,” Sharpe stated on the Ballinamallard United Academy Facebook page. “This is also tremendous recognition for our Academy.

“Sean joined our club at four years old and played for every age group up to Under-18 before making this move. It personally brings me great joy that our club can provide such opportunities to young players from Fermanagh and Tyrone. If you have talent and work hard, opportunities will come your way.”

Ahead of its public release, we’ve rounded up some of the key information you need to know about the game, as well as some of the elements which are on the way soon.
