AC Milan are currently awaiting responses from some of their primary transfer targets before making a definitive move for Memphis Depay, who is available on a free transfer.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio on his daily podcast (via Pianeta Milan), the Rossoneri are managing multiple negotiations, with Depay being a lower priority at the moment.

Milan is interested in players still participating in the 2024 European Championships, such as Alvaro Morata, Youssouf Fofana, and Adrien Rabiot. Progress on these deals is unlikely until the tournament concludes, but all three players will be in action tonight in the France vs. Spain match.

Additionally, Milan is trying to reach an agreement with Tottenham Hotspur for Emerson Royal. The club needs to finalize these deals to understand their financial capability to also pursue Depay.

Depay is available on a free transfer after leaving Atletico Madrid this summer, but his high wages and strong personality pose considerations for the dressing room under a new coach. He is also participating in Euro 2024 with the Netherlands, who have a semi-final match against England.
