Kenzo Goudmijn, a Dutch midfielder, has signed a four-year contract with Derby County in the Championship, the transfer fee remaining undisclosed. He progressed through the youth ranks at AZ Alkmaar but had limited opportunities, making only 13 league appearances since his senior debut in May 2019.

During the past two seasons, Goudmijn was on loan at Excelsior, a rival Eredivisie club, following his involvement in AZ Alkmaar’s Europa Conference League campaign last season. Goudmijn, a former Netherlands Under-19 international, faced relegation with Excelsior in the 2023-24 season.

This move to Derby County marks Goudmijn as their fourth signing of the summer, joining after Ben Osborn, formerly of Sheffield United and Nottingham Forest, and strikers Nottingham Forest and Jerry Yates.
