Florida’s Skylar Wallace Signs for 2024 AU Pro Softball Season
Skylar Wallace, an infielder for the Florida Gators, has inked a deal with Athletes Unlimited Pro Softball for the 2024 Championship season in Rosemont, Illinois.
Wallace, drafted in the 2024 AU Pro Softball College Draft, boasts an impressive collegiate career at Florida, where she earned recognition as a three-year letter winner. She holds the program’s all-time records in batting average, slugging percentage, and on-base percentage.
Named the 2023 SEC Player of the Year and NFCA Division 1 Player of the Year, Wallace made history as the first player from Florida to receive the NFCA Player of the Year award. Her standout season included setting UF single-season records in batting average (.447), slugging percentage (.980), and on-base percentage (.595), ranking her among the top nationally in several categories such as slugging percentage, on-base percentage, triples, and runs per game.
During her junior season, Wallace achieved unprecedented statistics as the sole known player in NCAA DI history to amass at least 70 hits, 70 runs, 50 RBIs, and 50 stolen bases in a single campaign. Prior to her time at Florida, she spent two years with Alabama.
In her senior year, Wallace propelled the Gators to the Women’s College World Series semifinals, showcasing a .392 batting average, .758 slugging percentage, 14 home runs, and a stellar .964 fielding percentage.
Adding to her achievements, Wallace contributed significantly to Team USA during the 2024 Japan All-Star Series, where she excelled at shortstop and leadoff batter, finishing with impressive stats including six hits in nine at-bats, two home runs, a double, and two stolen bases.
