Kenzo Goudmijn, a talented Dutch midfielder, has made a significant career move by joining Derby County, a Championship side, on a four-year deal. The 22-year-old, who has come up through the youth ranks of AZ Alkmaar, had limited first-team opportunities at his parent club, making only 13 league appearances since his senior debut in May 2019.

In search of more playing time and experience, Goudmijn spent much of the past two seasons on loan at Excelsior, another Eredivisie club. His second loan spell followed his participation in AZ Alkmaar’s Europa Conference League campaign at the start of the previous season. Now, with this new chapter at Derby County, Goudmijn will aim to make a significant impact and further develop his career in the competitive environment of the English Championship.
