Jackson’s apparent injury is another blow for the Jamaican team, following the withdrawal of women’s 100-meter and 200-meter Olympic champion Elaine Thompson-Herah due to an injury.

Jackson began limping with about 50 meters left in the race but managed to cross the finish line without assistance.

St. Lucia’s Julien Alfred won the race with her season-best time of 22.16 seconds, while sprinter Lanae-Tava Thomas finished in third place.

Jackson previously earned a bronze medal in the 400-meter event at the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro and won gold in the 4×100-meter relay at the Tokyo Olympics.
