EFL Championship newcomers Derby County have announced their new intake of full-time scholars for the 2024-2025 season.
Twelve players have signed scholarship deals with the Rams, including Charles Ebuka Agbawodikeizu, eligible for the Golden Eaglets, who joined from West Ham United.
The other scholars are Sean Corry, Braidy Connell-Webster, Rio Canoville, AJ Doyle, Alfie Friars, Khace Gordon, Israel Green, Dantel Hodges, Marley Mintus, Harvey Rees, and James Ward.
Ebuka aims to make his debut in the U18 Premier League North this season. The new players were welcomed at the scholars’ induction evening at Pride Park Stadium in late June.
During the induction ceremony in the Toyota Suite, Ebuka’s family attended and witnessed him sign the contract.
Ebuka explained that he joined Derby County to pursue a first-team debut in the coming years and is committed to working hard this season.
Derby County also confirmed that Nigerian attacker Justin Oguntolu has entered the second year of his scholarship with the club.
