FAYETTEVILLE — Karlie Davison, an infielder transferring from Utah, committed to Arkansas softball on Thursday.

Davison, a right-hander from Torrance, Calif., who is entering her junior year, announced her decision on social media, saying, “God writes the best stories. He gets all the glory! I could not be more grateful to call Fayetteville home for the next two years.”

Softball America had ranked Davison as the No. 15 available transfer at the time of her commitment.

At Arkansas, Davison will be reunited with hitting coach DJ Gasso, who was her coach at Utah during her freshman season in 2023.

In her sophomore year in 2024, Davison posted a .294 batting average with 25 hits and 5 doubles. She had a .459 slugging percentage, a .384 on-base percentage, and successfully stole 5 bases out of 6 attempts.
