Midfielder Ebou Adams admitted he “forgot” how good he was at football before his loan move to Derby County last season.
The Gambia international spent the entire 2022-23 season sidelined with injuries and had only played 13 games for Cardiff City over 18 months before joining Derby.
At Derby, the 28-year-old quickly became a vital player in Paul Warne’s squad, helping them secure automatic promotion to the Championship. Adams will return to Pride Park permanently after signing a deal on Wednesday.
