Maximilian, Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s 17-year-old son, has signed his first professional contract with AC Milan, the club where his father once played. Maximilian is expected to play with the Milan youth team next season as he seeks to emulate his father’s career.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who had stints at Barcelona, Paris St-Germain, and Manchester United, retired from football last year. He is now an advisor for AC Milan, where he concluded his playing career. During his time at Milan, he scored 93 goals in 163 appearances over two periods, contributing to Serie A titles in 2011 and 2022.
Ibrahimovic, a former Sweden striker, netted 511 career club goals and secured 34 trophies, including 12 league titles. His illustrious career, which started in the previous century, saw him nominated for the Ballon d’Or 11 times. He remains Sweden’s all-time top scorer with 62 goals in 122 international matches.
The only major club trophy that escaped him was the Champions League, with his sole European title being the Europa League with Manchester United in 2017.
