Another done deal: Derby County have sign a mega star player from the Championship and he is with…..

Derby County have been active in the summer transfer window for over a month, bringing six new players to the club.

Having secured promotion to the Championship last season, the Rams needed a significant squad overhaul to avoid relegation.

This summer, Derby County released seven players on free transfers, several of whom were instrumental in their top-two finish.

Among those leaving, Conor Hourihane and Louis Sibley contributed 19 goal involvements between them, while Joe Wildsmith, who won the League One Golden Glove, also departed.

Wildsmith’s exit was a major surprise for fans after his stellar season, but it was speculated he was seeking a move higher in the Championship, eventually signing with West Brom.

Replacing Wildsmith is a critical task for Derby, and they have yet to secure a new goalkeeper.

The Rams were tentatively linked with former Fulham keeper Marek Rodak last month, who was released by the Premier League club this summer.

The 27-year-old had made just two league appearances since Fulham’s promotion two years ago, and Derby were eager to offer him another opportunity in the Championship.
