You are the worst coach ever: A star player criticized head coach Chris and Kate Malveaux for making a worst signing of….

AUBURN, Ala. – Co-head coaches Chris and Kate Malveaux announced on Tuesday the signing of Kylie Brockman, a second Southeastern Conference transfer to strengthen the 2025 roster.

Brockman, a catcher from Kansas City, Kansas, played her freshman year at Arkansas.

“Kylie is a fantastic addition to our roster this year,” said Chris Malveaux. “She is a tough competitor with an excellent work ethic. She’s versatile defensively and brings significant offensive potential. She will contribute in various infield positions and catch behind the plate. We are thrilled to have her as an Auburn Tiger!”

During her freshman season at Fayetteville, Brockman had limited playtime, appearing in just nine games. She had 10 at-bats, scored twice, and drew two walks. Defensively, she maintained a perfect fielding percentage with 29 putouts and two assists.

“Kylie brings a mentality that excites us,” added Kate Malveaux. “Her work ethic and drive are ideal for catching and playing across the infield. She will provide solid depth to our offense.”

Brockman was a highly regarded recruit from Piper High School, ranked No. 19 in Extra Inning Softball’s 2022 Extra Elite 100. She earned Kansas 5A All-State Honorable Mention honors in 2021 and competed for Select Fastpitch 18U, hitting 14 home runs, 53 RBIs, and achieving a 1.135 OPS and a .985 fielding percentage.

Besides her softball achievements, Brockman was a two-time powerlifting state champion and the Kansas 5A state runner-up in javelin.
