Derby County are poised to end their long search for a new goalkeeper, with a deal reportedly in place.

The Rams have been on the lookout for a new shot-stopper throughout the summer, following the departures of last season’s first-choice keepers Joe Wildsmith and Scott Loach.

With the duo gone, manager Paul Warne had limited options during pre-season, relying mainly on Josh Vickers as the only established first-team goalkeeper.

Youngster Jack Thompson has recently been involved, and trialist Rohan Luthra joined the squad after his release from Cardiff City.

Despite this, the question of who will be the new starting goalkeeper for Derby has lingered.

Recent reports indicate that Derby have reached an agreement with Swedish club Djurgardens for goalkeeper Jacob Widell Zetterstrom.

The transfer fee is said to be around £1.4 million, which will bring the 26-year-old to Pride Park this summer.
