Done deal: Premier League defender left the pre-season to join the Leeds United just….

Leeds United are nearing the time in the summer when Premier League loans typically become more accessible. The Championship clubs, including Leeds, often capitalize on this opportunity.

This summer, Leeds have already utilized this market by signing Joe Rothwell on a season-long loan from Bournemouth. It’s unlikely he’ll be their last loan signing.

Last season, Leeds loaned four players from Premier League teams with mixed results. Joe Rodon stood out as the best, leading to his permanent signing, whereas Jaidon Anthony, Connor Roberts, and Djed Spence struggled to make an impact.

This summer, Leeds have been linked with several Premier League youngsters, but these deals often materialize later in the transfer window. Last year, Rodon, Spence, and Anthony all joined in August, and with pre-season underway, clubs are beginning to finalize their decisions.
