It’s a done deal: Birmingham City have sign another new star player from St Andrew just…..

Birmingham City are nearing another signing at St Andrew’s as they continue a busy summer following their relegation to League One.

After being relegated from the Championship on the final day of the 2023/24 season, new manager Chris Davies and the Blues are aiming for an immediate return to England’s second tier. Having not played in the third tier since 1992, they are tipped to win League One this season. To bolster their chances, they have already signed seven new players.

Alfie May joined from Charlton Athletic and celebrated his arrival with a pre-season winner against Rangers. Former Leeds and Sheffield Wednesday goalkeeper Bailey Peacock-Farrell has also been brought in and started against the Scottish giants.

New signings Emil Hansson, Alex Cochrane, and Willum Willumsson were in the starting XI, while Christoph Klarer and Ryan Allsop came off the bench to help secure the pre-season victory. An eighth new signing is expected before their season opener against Reading on August 10th.

Marc Leonard is set to join from Brighton, having watched the pre-season friendly from the stands. According to transfer reporter Fabrizio Romano, the young midfielder is on the verge of completing a £500,000 move to the Midlands, with a medical already done.
