Big Congrats: SEC Declares Cambria Salmon the best player in Softball history….

AUSTIN, Texas – Cambria Salmon, a future freshman for The University of Texas softball team, will participate in the 2024 Premier Girls Fastpitch (PGF) All-American Game at 9 p.m. CT on Saturday, July 27, at Deanna Manning Stadium in Irvine, Calif. The game will be broadcast on ESPNU.

“Although she will officially be a freshman in 2025, Cam has the experience and determination to join the starting rotation right away,” said Texas softball head coach Mike White. “Cam is recognized as one of the top pitchers in her class nationwide and has competed against elite opponents for several years.”

Salmon, who will represent the West Team on Saturday, finished her high school career at Beaumont (Calif.) High School with a 0.88 ERA, a .132 opponent batting average, and 1,006 strikeouts. She also excelled at the plate, batting .388 with 27 home runs. Her career strikeout total places her among the top 15 in California high school softball history.

Standing 5-foot-8, the right-handed pitcher was ranked the fourth-best high school athlete in the nation and the third-best pitcher by Extra Inning Softball.
