**BOCHUM, Germany (AP) — Bochum has parted ways with coach Thomas Letsch following a string of poor performances that put the team at risk of relegation from the Bundesliga.**
Despite a stunning 3-2 victory over Bayern Munich in February, which significantly impacted the champions’ title aspirations, Bochum has managed only one point from their last six matches.
On Saturday, Bochum’s struggles continued as they conceded two late goals and fell 2-1 to Cologne, another team battling relegation. This defeat has left Bochum in 15th place in the 18-team Bundesliga table.
Letsch, who took charge of Bochum in September 2022 when the team was at the bottom of the table, successfully guided them to safety last season.
