However, the 21-year-old has chosen Ipswich as his next club, having been seen at Portman Road last week. This move signifies a substantial investment by Kieran McKenna’s team following their promotion from the Championship.
Derby County holds a financial stake in the transfer, as Delap spent a decade at the club’s academy before moving to Manchester City in 2019. Derbyshire Live reports that Derby included a sell-on clause in the deal when he left for the Premier League champions.
