The North London club has been closely following the 25-year-old Nigerian international, with Football Insider reporting that Spurs manager Ange Postecoglou is eager to sign a new striker this summer.

Osimhen, who joined Napoli in 2020 for a record €77.5m, has excelled in Serie A, especially during the 2022–23 season. However, the striker is reportedly seeking a move away from the Italian club, creating an opportunity for Premier League teams.

Chelsea have already initiated aggressive negotiations with Napoli, proposing a possible cash-plus-player deal involving Romelu Lukaku. In response, Tottenham are contemplating including their own players in an effort to secure Osimhen’s signature.

A potential deal for the 25-year-old would require a substantial financial commitment, with Napoli having placed a €130m release clause in his contract. It remains uncertain if Spurs chairman Daniel Levy will be willing to make such a significant investment.

Osimhen’s arrival at Tottenham would signal strong ambitions, providing much-needed goal-scoring prowess and potentially becoming the face of a new era at the club.

The striker has previously turned down lucrative offers from the Saudi Pro League, with his preference for a Premier League move well known. As the transfer saga progresses, both Tottenham and Chelsea are keen to acquire one of Europe’s most sought-after strikers.
