With less than four weeks until the transfer deadline and just over two weeks until the season begins, Tottenham is expected to be active in the transfer market. Postecoglou needs to consider both new signings to strengthen the squad and potential offloads.

TalkSPORT pundit Gabriel Agbonlahor has called for Tottenham to replace a £140,000-a-week player he believes has underperformed: Dejan Kulusevski.

Kulusevski had a mixed season last year, playing in 36 Premier League matches and three domestic cup games. Although he has impressive moments, he often struggled, either going missing in games or losing possession.

“Tottenham really need to upgrade Kulusevski,” Agbonlahor told talkSPORT. “He lacks pace and often slows down counterattacks.”

Despite his criticism, it’s unlikely that Postecoglou will offload Kulusevski, as he still provides quality and versatility. Tottenham has more pressing transfer needs, such as a new center-forward and defensive reinforcements. Kulusevski is expected to stay and aim to prove his critics wrong in the 2024/25 season.
