Bayer Leverkusen’s coach, Xabi Alonso, highlighted that last season’s performance “likely won’t be sufficient” to meet their objectives for the new campaign.
During a press conference, the Spanish coach minimized discussions about the possible outcomes by the end of the 2024-2025 season in May, instead focusing on the upcoming month of August. He emphasized that a good start to the season could set the stage for a strong finish.
“We have many fundamentals. But these basics probably aren’t enough. We need to add something, update it, and incorporate other elements. We have to evolve and improve,” Alonso emphasized.
