Bayer Leverkusen fans celebrate after 120-year wait for league title

With their impressive 2023/24 season now etched into the annals of football history, Bayer Leverkusen is determined to continue their success, aiming for additional silverware with the upcoming Supercup in August. The Werkself is confident as they prepare for a highly anticipated clash with Stuttgart.

As pre-season intensifies across the Bundesliga, Bayer 04 is ramping up their training, with last season’s double winners poised to be the team to beat in the new campaign. They secured their first Bundesliga title unbeaten and added the DFB Cup in a similarly impressive manner. Maintaining such high standards will be a formidable challenge, but coach Xabi Alonso detects the same drive and determination in his players this season.

“It’s my responsibility to keep that hunger alive, ensure everyone feels the competition within the squad, and not dwell too much on the past,” the Spaniard said. “The players have expressed their desire to continue pushing forward. We aim to develop and have another successful season, but we need to start strong,” Alonso added.
