The Italian has won four times in MotoGP on the Grand Prix circuit, which partially overlaps with the 24 Hours track. Last year, he also participated in one of the support races, Road to Le Mans, and won the event on the 13.626 km track.
In addition to his physical experience, the nine-time MotoGP world champion has completed numerous simulator sessions to get a feel for the track, although he found this aspect less exciting. “It’s a bit boring with the long straight lines,” he said, preferring the on-site sessions, which he found entirely different, especially due to the high speeds.
Valentino Rossi’s participation in this event is the realization of one of his dreams. “I am very honored to be here, as it has been one of my goals since I started car racing. Last year, I got to race in the Road to Le Mans and familiarize myself with the track.”
