DONE DEAL: Jonathan Rowe Has Finally Signs Four Year Contract With…………..read more.
Sources have informed Football Insider that Leeds United’s initial bid for Jonathan Rowe falls significantly short of Norwich City’s valuation. Leeds reportedly made a verbal offer of £7 million for the 21-year-old, which Norwich swiftly rejected, as it does not meet their expectations.
Leeds is actively seeking a new winger after Crysencio Summerville’s recent transfer to West Ham. Currently, Daniel Farke’s squad lacks a natural left-sided winger. Jonathan Rowe, who had an impressive breakthrough season in 2023-24, is seen as an ideal candidate.
Rowe scored 13 goals and provided four assists in 38 appearances across all competitions last season, helping Norwich secure a sixth-place finish in the Championship. However, he missed a significant portion of the second half of the season due to a hamstring injury but returned in time for the play-off semi-final, where Leeds defeated Norwich 4-0 on aggregate.
Despite their efforts, Leeds was unable to overcome Southampton at Wembley and will remain in the Championship for another season. Leeds has already signed Joe Rodon, Jayden Bogle, Alex Cairns, and Joe Rothwell this summer.
In other news, there is speculation among Leeds fans about a possible exit for Georginio Rutter following a release clause revelation.
