Done Deal: Leeds United Has Signs Lazar Samardzic From…………read more.

Following Wednesday night’s dramatic FA Cup victory, can Leeds United start collecting some Premier League points?

In midweek, Jesse Marsch’s side thrashed Cardiff City 5-2 in their FA Cup replay, racing to a 5-0 lead before conceding two late goals. Wilfried Gnonto scored twice, including a stunning volley after just 32 seconds. Rodrigo also found the net, and Patrick Bamford came off the bench to score twice.

However, in the league, the Whites are winless in five games, having lost 2-1 at Villa Park in their last match nine days ago. Leeds have won just two of their last 15 Premier League fixtures, starting the weekend in 14th place, only two points clear of the relegation zone.

Meanwhile, Brentford are 12 points ahead and on the verge of European qualification. Thomas Frank’s team have won three consecutive games and are unbeaten in seven, dating back to mid-October. The three Premier League meetings between these teams have produced 14 goals, with Brentford winning 5-2 in September.

While predicting the winner is tough, this match should certainly feature goals.

Leeds United team news:
Jesse Marsch fielded a strong team against Cardiff on Wednesday, so few changes are expected here. Club-record signing Georginio Rutter, who joined from Hoffenheim, might debut from the bench. Fellow January addition Maximilian Wöber hobbled off midweek, making him doubtful, with Pascal Struijk likely to replace him. Crysencio Summerville remains sidelined, but Wilfried Gnonto is in excellent form, scoring three goals in four appearances in 2023.

Rasmus Kristensen, Robin Koch, and Marc Roca are one booking away from suspension, which would make them miss Leeds’ next league game against Nottingham Forest.

Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Meslier; Ayling, Llorente, Cooper, Struijk; Adams, Roca, Harrison, Aaronson, Gnonto; Rodrigo.
