Tottenham have been advised to abandon their pursuit of Dominic Solanke in favor of Brentford striker Ivan Toney.
The north London club is intensifying its search for a new forward, with Solanke emerging as a key target due to uncertainties surrounding current No. 9 Richarlison’s future.
Dominic Solanke is a top target for Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou
Spurs are aiming to secure the 26-year-old from Bournemouth ahead of their campaign in the Premier League and Europa League next season. Solanke impressed last season, achieving his best top-flight stats with 19 goals in 38 league games.
Finding available goal scorers is a challenge, as Spurs know well, and their quest to replace Harry Kane has led them to consider the Bournemouth star.

However, former Watford and Birmingham striker Troy Deeney believes Tottenham should focus on England star Ivan Toney, who is seeking a move away from Brentford.
Deeney argues that Toney would be a better fit for Ange Postecoglou’s team, suggesting that Solanke might be better suited for Tottenham’s rivals Arsenal, who are also looking to bolster their squad to challenge Manchester City for the title again.
“I think Solanke works better at somewhere like Arsenal where he has to be on the end of something,” Deeney told talkSPORT. “If you’re going to spend £65 million, which is the reported fee, I would expect them [Tottenham] to go for Toney, if they can get him.”
