Done Deal: Leeds United Has Signed Chelsea midfielder On…………read more.

Leeds United are making a strong push to sign FC Koln’s highly-regarded midfielder, Dejan Ljubicic, as they aim to bolster their midfield ahead of the upcoming season.

The Yorkshire club initially submitted a €4 million bid for the 26-year-old, which was turned down. However, reports indicate that Leeds are now preparing a much-improved offer.

According to the latest update from German outlet BILD, this new offer has caught Ljubicic’s attention, and he is now reconsidering his future at Koln.

The report also suggests that Koln is expecting a substantial bid for Ljubicic. However, with his current contract set to expire next summer, the club may be willing to sell him for a reduced fee to avoid losing him on a free transfer.

Ljubicic, who made 26 appearances in the Bundesliga last season, starting 24 of them, could be a valuable addition to Leeds United. Although he only contributed two assists, his performances were not enough to prevent Koln’s relegation, prompting him to consider a move to a new league.

Leeds are eager to address the departures of key midfielders Glen Kamara, Marc Roca, and Archie Gray, and adding a player like Ljubicic could provide the team with both defensive strength and greater control in the midfield.
