Done Deal: Milan Has Signed Real Madrid Star Rodrygo For………..read more.

Inter Milan and AC Milan are still deliberating whether to purchase the San Siro or build new stadiums outside of Milan, as reported by the Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport via FCInterNews. The clubs were reportedly frustrated by a recent statement from the city of Milan that downplayed the option of constructing new stadiums.

The coming weeks are expected to be crucial in determining the future of the stadium situation for both Inter and Milan. Last month, the clubs reviewed renovation plans for the San Siro submitted by architectural firm WeBuild. Milan Mayor Beppe Sala hopes these renovations will address the clubs’ financial needs and persuade them to remain at the iconic stadium.

However, Inter and Milan are also exploring alternative plans. Inter is considering building a stadium in Rozzano and is conducting a feasibility study, while Milan has already purchased land in San Donato for a potential new stadium.

Yesterday, the Milan municipality issued a statement suggesting that Inter and Milan could purchase the San Siro, which they have historically only rented. Owning the stadium could be key to maximizing revenue and encouraging the clubs to stay.

Mayor Sala and the municipality’s strategy appears to be to entice the clubs to stay by offering both renovation proposals and the option to purchase the stadium. However, according to Corriere dello Sport, the clubs were displeased that the municipality’s statement seemed to ignore the possibility of building new stadiums elsewhere, which remains a viable option for both clubs.
