Jonathan Van Lange is set to captain Guyana during the 2024 CWI Rising Stars U17 Championship, which commences in Trinidad and Tobago next week.
Van Lange, who çrepresented Guyana during the 2024 CWI U19 Championships last month, is a promising all-rounder and a brilliant table tennis player.
He will have Afraz Ali Buddoo as vice-captain in a Guyana U17 team that Ameer Rahaman coaches.
Van Lange, Gulcharan Chulai, Riyad Latiff, and Rampersaud Ramnauth, members of the U17 team, also played for Guyana during the U19 Championships.
Guyana Cricket Board President Bissoondyal Singh visited the national team this week as they prepare for the tournament at the GCB
Coach Rahaman thanked the GCB president for his support in preparing the team.
