Done Deal: Tottenham Has Signed Jacob Ramsey To Replace………..read more.

Tottenham’s transfer activity has intensified with the acquisition of Dominic Solanke, but the club is still looking to secure additional signings before the transfer window closes.

After the conclusion of last season, manager Ange Postecoglou requested significant changes, and some of those have been realized. The arrivals of Archie Gray, Lucas Bergvall, and Solanke have bolstered the squad, while departures include Bryan Gil, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, and Ryan Sessegnon.

However, following their recent defeat to Bayern Munich, Postecoglou acknowledged that more transfers could still take place.

According to Sky Sports journalist Michael Bridge, Tottenham is particularly interested in signing Aston Villa star Jacob Ramsey. Bridge told GiveMeSport that Ramsey is seen as an ideal addition to Spurs’ midfield, highlighting Tottenham’s need for an energetic player in that position.

“They like Jacob Ramsey at Villa, but he scored in a friendly yesterday, and I think Villa are very keen to keep him,” Bridge said.

Ramsey is one of Aston Villa’s homegrown players, and any transfer fee they receive for him would directly benefit their financial stability under PSR regulations. However, with Villa reportedly valuing Ramsey at a minimum of £50 million, and Tottenham having recently spent £65 million on Solanke, it might be challenging for the club to make another significant investment.

Daniel Levy, Tottenham’s chairman, has supported Postecoglou in securing a striker that fits the team’s system perfectly. Still, if Tottenham is to progress further, Levy may need to provide additional backing to pursue Ramsey, especially if he is a key target for Postecoglou.

While Villa is keen to retain Ramsey, Tottenham might have an opportunity to negotiate if the price is right, particularly with Villa’s large squad. The onus is now on Tottenham to fully support their manager and make the necessary moves to avoid stagnation and ensure they do not face the same challenges as in previous seasons.
