KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A family is mourning the loss of their loved one after a motorcycle hit them on a motorized scooter.

He  was driving a scooter on 45th Terrace in KCMO when a motorcyclist crested the hill around Lister Avenue, swerved to noavoid Nigro and lost control of their bike. The motorcycle hit Nigro on the scooter, causing traumatic injuries.

I showed up at the accident probably about 10 minutes after my sister had taken off in the ambulance,” said Joe Paladino, Nigro’s sister.

“It was a pretty emotional deal seeing the scooter there and the motorcycle off to the right,” he remembered.
