SO  SAD TO HERE: Alabama football QB Jalen Milroe have been issued and he is band from participating in all sport activities due to…..

Alabama football is now searching for a new radio sideline reporter. Former Alabama running back Damien Harris was originally set to join the Crimson Tide Sports Network (CTSN) crew for this fall, as announced last week. However, play-by-play announcer Chris Stewart revealed on Wednesday that Harris will no longer be taking the position, as he has decided to pursue another opportunity.

During an appearance on WNSP’s “The Opening Kickoff,” Stewart expressed his support for Harris’s decision, although it came as a surprise to both parties. With the season just over two weeks away, CTSN will need to find a replacement to work alongside Stewart, analyst Tyler Watts, engineer Tom Stipe, and host Roger Hoover for games in coach Kalen DeBoer’s debut season.

Last season, Christian Miller primarily served as the sideline reporter for home games, while Hoover took on the role for away games. Harris, who retired from the NFL this past spring after five seasons with the New England Patriots and Buffalo Bills, was a third-round draft pick in 2019 and played for Alabama from 2015 to 2018, contributing to two national championship teams during that time.
