Transfer News:Fabrizio romano Confirmed That Leeds United Has Give Patrick Bamford Loan To.

Patrick Bamford has revealed that his availability for Leeds United’s Championship play-off final against Southampton next week is uncertain. The experienced striker has been sidelined since sustaining a knee injury during the 4-3 victory over Middlesbrough on April 22.

Bamford, along with Sam Byram and Pascal Struijk, missed Leeds’ dominant performance in the play-off semi-final second leg against Norwich City due to injury. Leeds manager Daniel Farke remains hopeful that Bamford and Byram will recover in time for the final at Wembley on May 26, although Struijk has already been ruled out until next season.

During a recent appearance on the ‘My Mate’s A Footballer Podcast’, Bamford admitted, “Honestly, I don’t know where I stand with my injury. It’s touch and go at this point. If I want to be in the final, I’ll need to train with the team sometime next week.”

Reflecting on the injury, Bamford explained, “I don’t remember the exact moment it happened against Middlesbrough, but I noticed pain after one particular shot. I tried to tap in a goal and must have injured my knee somehow. It got progressively worse, and although I hoped it was just a minor knock, the pain intensified the next day.”

He added, “It’s related to the patella tendon where the bone attaches, and my participation in the final is still uncertain. Given that I haven’t played for three weeks, I’ll need to train by Wednesday to have a chance of being match-ready; otherwise, it might be pointless to participate as I won’t be sharp enough.”
