Deal canceled: The talented star player Will Levis announces that the deal has been canceled due to the management harsh attitude during the……
Just a year after dismissing GM Jon Robinson, Amy Adams Strunk made another significant move by parting ways with Mike Vrabel, a coach she had extended in 2022. While this isn’t a complete overhaul for the Titans, it does signal that GM Ran Carthon is now fully in charge. In his second year, Carthon has focused on building a roster around Will Levis’ rookie contract, resulting in some high-cost free-agent signings.
As the Titans regroup after two challenging, injury-plagued seasons, they also bid farewell to one of their all-time greats, Derrick Henry. With Robinson fired in December 2022, nearly all of his offensive investments have been cleared out, leaving Carthon to steer the ship and validate the team’s faith in Levis this season.
The relationship between Vrabel, Carthon, and Adams Strunk quickly deteriorated. Although Carthon stated he wasn’t involved in the decision to fire Vrabel, he gained full control over the roster as a result. Vrabel had previously led the Titans to four consecutive winning seasons and three playoff appearances, maximizing the team’s potential. While Tennessee was rumored to have trade opportunities due to Vrabel’s reputation, Adams Strunk opted to avoid letting trade talks disrupt their search for a new coach, leading to the highly debated firing.
