Ajax is looking to sell 19-year-old Dutch defensive midfielder Silvano Vos. French club Reims has shown interest in acquiring him, but AC Milan has also recently made inquiries, according to a report by De Telegraaf.
The Amsterdam club is hoping that AC Milan will opt for a permanent transfer rather than a loan deal, which is preferred by the French side. Ajax is keen to offload Vos to reduce their wage bill, as he is not part of coach Francesco Farioli’s plans. While a transfer fee of €10 million was initially discussed, the price may drop as the summer transfer window closes.
Vos, who has Surinamese roots, stands 189 centimeters tall, is right-footed, and has a contract with Ajax until 2028. A product of the Ajax youth academy, he made 14 appearances for the first team last season, with 11 in the league and three in the Europa League.
West Brom, aiming to recover from their midweek Carabao Cup defeat to Fleetwood, started strong with several early corners and possession, but it was Leeds who created the first chances. Junior Firpo and Ethan Ampadu both came close, with Ampadu’s long-range attempt just missing the mark.
Leeds full-back Jayden Bogle received the first booking after fouling Tom Fellows, leading to West Brom’s first threat from a John Swift free-kick. Leeds nearly scored just before halftime, but Pascal Struijk’s header was deflected wide.
