The Guyana Amazon Warriors have secured Afghanistan opener Rahmanullah Gurbaz for CPL 2024. Imran Tahir, who led the team to their first title last season, has also been retained.
Gurbaz, who previously played for the franchise in 2022, will be making his return. During that season, he appeared in six matches and scored 157 runs, including two half-centuries.
In addition, the Warriors have retained several key overseas players, including Pakistan’s Saim Ayub and Azam Khan, along with South African allrounder Dwaine Pretorius. They have also kept hold of prominent West Indies players such as Shimron Hetmyer, Shai Hope, Romario Shepherd, and Keemo Paul.
