Paris Saint-Germain may be looking to strengthen their midfield before the summer transfer window closes. After loaning Cher Ndour to Beşiktaş and with Gabriel Moscardo seemingly headed to Stade de Reims, the club could bring in another midfielder to ensure sufficient depth for the 2024-25 season’s three competitions.
With just days left in the transfer window, the reigning Ligue 1 champions have set their sights on a star from Palmeiras. According to Antena 2 Deportes, PSG has submitted a €20 million bid for 24-year-old Colombian midfielder Richard Rios. Rios, who was part of the Colombia national team that reached the 2024 Copa América final before losing to Argentina, has attracted interest from top European clubs like AC Milan and Manchester United.
Should this deal go through, Rios would become another South American addition to the PSG squad following Willian Pacho’s arrival from Eintracht Frankfurt. Since joining Palmeiras in 2023, Rios has made 88 appearances, scoring five goals and providing two assists.
