According to the Daily Mail (21/8 print edition, page 61), Leeds United are considered outsiders in the race to sign Hannibal Mejbri, although they are still interested in the player.
Hannibal has limited senior experience, having made a few appearances for Manchester United’s first team and gone on loan a couple of times. During the 2022/23 season, he played for Birmingham City, helping them remain in the Championship, and his performance earned him a loan move to Sevilla in January 2024.

While his impact at Sevilla was minimal, the experience would have been valuable for the Tunisia international. According to the Manchester Evening News, the club would prefer to sell him rather than arrange another loan.
As the domestic transfer window closes soon, Hannibal has just over a week to finalize his next move, with interest reportedly coming from other clubs.
