Sheffield United’s Gustavo Hamer is reportedly “on his way” to Leeds United as the transfer window draws to a close.
According to TransferWatch.nl, the midfielder has reached an agreement on personal terms with Leeds. The report also states that Leeds are now in negotiations with Sheffield United to finalize the deal.
The Blades invested over €17m to sign the 27-year-old from Coventry City in August 2023. Hamer impressed during his debut season for Sheffield United, who were in the Premier League last year, scoring five goals and providing eight assists in 40 appearances across all competitions.
His strong performances have apparently convinced Daniel Farke’s side to pursue him. The Brazilian is under contract until 2027, and Sheffield United are open to a sale, provided Leeds offer a “large sum.” The report does not specify the price Sheffield United is asking for or what Leeds might offer.
All parties involved are optimistic, and the transfer is “expected to be completed” before the window closes on Friday.
