Tammy Abraham is reportedly on the verge of a surprising transfer to AC Milan for £8.4 million. The former Chelsea striker, currently with AS Roma, is expected to be part of a swap deal involving Alexis Saelemaekers. After three years with Roma, Abraham, who has been recovering from a severe knee injury, is now set to join the Rossoneri. Saelemaekers, the 25-year-old Belgian winger, will move to Roma as part of the deal. This transfer comes as AC Milan seeks a backup striker to support new signing Álvaro Morata.

Fiorentina have signed AC Milan midfielder Yacine Adli.

Adli joins the Viola in a  loan deal for the season with a permanent option.

Fiorentina announced today:  “ACF Fiorentina announces that it has acquired, on a temporary basis with right of redemption, the rights to the sporting performances of the player Yacine Adli from AC Milan.

“Adli, born in Vitry-sur-Seine (France) on 29 July 2000, grew up in the youth sector of Paris Saint-Germain, a club with which he also made his debut in Ligue 1 in 2018.

“The new Viola midfielder also wore the Bordeaux shirt on 104 occasions and, in his last season with Milan, he made 33 appearances in Serie A, Italian Cup, Champions League and Europa League, scoring one goal. Adli will wear the number 29 shirt.”

Inter Milan are preparing to take part in the maiden edition of the Champions League under the new format, and they will counting on a substantial financial boost.

Europe’s elite club competition will now feature 36 clubs in the group stage instead of 32.

The Nerazzurri will learn the identity of their opponents later today. The draw will take place at 18:00 CET.

But in addition to the major changes in the format, the expanded version will also yield improved prize money.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport via FcInter1908, the Nerazzurri can comfortably reach 100 million euros from their UCL participation.

Each club will earn 18.6 million euros by entering the group stage. Each group-stage win will generate 2.1 million, while a draw yields 0.7M.

The clubs will also unlock additional financial rewards by advancing to the next rounds. Winning the final is worth 25 million euros on its own, while the runners-up leave with a consolation price of 18.5 million.

Inter Milan Can Realistically Earn €100M From The Champions League

Moreover, the Italian market pool will earn the five Serie A clubs a total of 230 million euros. It will be distributed as follows: Inter 54, Juventus 53, Atalanta50, AC Milan 44 and Bologna 28. This is due to the clubs’ UEFA coefficient.

Therefore, the pink newspaper notes that Inter and Juventus – due to their high coefficient – would earn a whopping 150 million euros if they managed to win the tournament.

Nevertheless, both clubs can realistically gun for 100 million euros, even if they don’t manage to go too far in the competition.
