Lauren James, Lotte Wubben-Moy, and Kayla Rendell will miss England’s final European Championship group qualifiers due to injuries.

The three players have withdrawn from the squad heading to the Netherlands for a preparation camp before the Lionesses face the Republic of Ireland on 12 July and Sweden on 16 July.

Chelsea forward James, 22, is dealing with a foot injury, while Arsenal defender Wubben-Moy and Southampton goalkeeper Rendell are also sidelined.

According to BBC Sport, Wubben-Moy, who missed the last England camp due to the same foot injury, is expected to be fit for Arsenal’s pre-season training later this month.

Mary Earps and Niamh Charles will travel with the squad to continue their rehabilitation.

Goalkeeper Anna Moorhouse has earned her first senior England call-up and will join the team at St George’s Park next Monday.

Midfielder Georgia Stanway has also been included but will join the squad next Monday, as her club Bayern Munich has already begun pre-season training.

Sarina Wiegman’s team currently sits third in their qualifying group, just outside the automatic top two spots due to goal difference. France leads the group, followed by Sweden, with the Republic of Ireland in fourth place.

If England finishes third or fourth in the group, they will enter the play-offs to qualify for Euro 2025.
