Breaking News: AC Milan vs. Lazio Match Postponed—Details Coming Soon!

Both Lazio and AC Milan are looking to recover from unexpected defeats last week as they face off in Serie A’s Saturday night fixture at Stadio Olimpico.

Lazio fell to Udinese, while AC Milan was surprised by promoted Parma, so neither team can afford another misstep before the international break.

Lazio’s new coach, Marco Baroni, began his tenure with a win over Venezia but faced a setback in their recent match against Udinese. Lazio went behind early and conceded another goal shortly after halftime. Despite Udinese going down to 10 men, Lazio only managed a late goal from Gustav Isaksen and returned to Rome with nothing. This defeat broke an eight-match unbeaten streak dating back to last season and was the first under Baroni after previous coach Igor Tudor’s departure. Lazio has struggled against Milan recently, losing their last three Serie A encounters without scoring, including a 1-0 defeat six months ago.

Milan, who have won five of their last six league matches against Lazio, have not achieved consecutive away victories over Lazio since 2009. New head coach Paulo Fonseca is eager to secure a win after a tough start at San Siro. Milan drew 2-2 with Torino on opening day and then suffered a disappointing loss to Parma, with Matteo Cancellieri’s late goal sealing the defeat. Milan has failed to win their first two league games for the first time since 2011. Despite leading Serie A in shots, touches in the opposition area, and direct attacks, their defense remains a concern. If Milan loses again, it would mark their worst start to a season this century.
