Leeds United will aim to maintain their unbeaten start to the Championship season and secure back-to-back wins when they host Yorkshire rivals Hull City at Elland Road on Saturday.

Leeds recorded their first victory of the season last Friday, while Hull City has drawn all three of their opening league matches.

Leeds United will return to Elland Road on Saturday in hopes of earning their second consecutive Championship victory and positioning themselves as early season contenders.

Following their playoff final defeat last season and a summer of squad changes, Daniel Farke’s team is determined to improve this year and secure promotion to the Premier League, though their start has been somewhat uneven.

The Yorkshire club managed only draws in their initial two league games, coming from behind to level 2-2 with newly-promoted Portsmouth and playing out a goalless draw with West Bromwich Albion, alongside a 3-0 home cup defeat to Middlesbrough.

Having struggled initially, Leeds United recently picked up their first win with a 2-0 victory over Sheffield Wednesday, thanks to goals from Brenden Aaronson and Daniel James. Now buoyed by this away triumph, they are set to pursue another win in their next Yorkshire derby.

Hull City, under new management with Tim Walter replacing Liam Rosenior, will also look to maintain their unbeaten start, though they have yet to secure a win in their three league matches.

Walter’s reign began with two 1-1 draws against Bristol City and Plymouth Argyle, sandwiching a 2-1 home defeat to Sheffield Wednesday in the EFL Cup. The Tigers then drew 0-0 with Millwall in their most recent match at the MKM Stadium.

Hull City will now face the challenge of a trip to Elland Road, aiming to secure their first competitive win of the season and kickstart their campaign under Walter.
