AC Milan have officially announced the acquisition of Tammy Abraham from AS Roma on a season-long loan for the 2024-25 season. According to their website, Milan confirmed the loan signing of the striker, who has committed to the club until June 30, 2025.

London boy' Tammy Abraham enjoys transfer talk and opens door on Chelsea return

This announcement follows shortly after AS Roma revealed their own signing of Alexis Saelemaekers, who joined them on a similar one-season loan as part of the agreement between the two clubs.

Born on October 2, 1997, in London, Abraham rose through Chelsea’s youth system and made his professional debut with the club in 2016. He had loan spells with Bristol City, Swansea City, and Aston Villa before returning to Chelsea in 2019, where he won the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Super Cup. In 2021, he transferred to Roma, helping them win the inaugural UEFA Conference League and scoring 17 league goals that season.

Abraham made his England debut on November 10, 2017, and has scored three goals in 11 appearances for his national team. Milan has also confirmed that he will wear the number 90 shirt, as Luka Jovic had already taken the No.9 earlier in the summer.

Abraham is a player that Roma have been keen to offload due to the cost of his wages and as the window ticks down they look like shipping him out.

A return to the Premier League with West Ham has been continually mooted for Abraham, but he will not go to the London Stadium.

Instead, the former Chelsea star is staying in Italy and switching to AC Milan.

Abraham is to join the Rossoneri on a season-long loan deal and will have a medical with the Italian giants later today.

He has been keen on a move to AC Milan and at the eleventh hour is set to get his wish.

West Ham have strengthened their attack by bringing in Niclas Fullkrug from Borussia Dortmund.

Despite that they have continued to be linked with a host of strikers amid the claims they could still bring in another goalscorer.
