According to sources, the funds for this gesture came directly from Guardiola, with the total amount exceeding £500,000. The recipients reportedly include kit men, security personnel, and physiotherapists.

Guardiola frequently acknowledges the contributions of the entire support team, beyond just himself and his core coaching staff, in helping the squad maintain its high performance standards.

Last season, City made history as the first English club to win four consecutive league titles. They also advanced to the Champions League quarter-finals for the seventh year in a row and reached at least the semi-finals of the FA Cup for the past five years.

An independent commission is set to hear the Premier League’s case against City over alleged financial breaches, some of which date back to 2009.

The hearing starts next month and the result could be made public at the start of 2025.

When asked about the case, Guardiola said: “I am happy it starts soon and hopefully it finishes soon for the benefit of all of us.

“We have been three or four years talking about that [the case],” he added.

Pep Guardiola continued his impressive tenure as Manchester City manager with a victory over Ipswich Town, propelling his team to the top of the Premier League table. The 53-year-old Spaniard, known for his generosity, recently made headlines not just for his team’s success but also for his thoughtful gesture towards the staff.

Following City’s dominant performance—highlighted by a hat-trick from Erling Haaland and an outstanding display by captain Kevin De Bruyne—Guardiola turned attention to his staff. According to BBC Sports, Guardiola rewarded each member of the first-team support staff at the City Football Academy with a £10,000 gift. This generous bonus was personally funded by Guardiola and was given to a range of staff, including kit men, physios, and security personnel.

Guardiola often acknowledges the essential roles played by the behind-the-scenes staff in his press conferences, highlighting their contributions to the team’s success.
