Third-tier club FC Saarbrücken saw their dream run in the German Cup come to an end with a 2-0 defeat to FC Kaiserslautern in the semi-final.
The underdogs had previously shocked Bayern Munich, Borussia Monchengladbach, and Eintracht Frankfurt to reach the DFB-Pokal semi-finals.
However, their hopes of making it to the final were extinguished by second-half goals from Marlon Ritter and Almamy Toure.
Bundesliga leaders Bayer Leverkusen will face Dusseldorf in the second semi-final on Wednesday.
This marks the first time Kaiserslautern have reached the final since 2003, when they were defeated by Bayern Munich.
