The fall sports season is already underway for several teams at San Jose State, but women’s sports remain underrepresented, particularly within school teams. It’s crucial to support these teams, as it not only boosts the players’ confidence but also raises awareness about the sport itself.
I want to shine a light on the upcoming games and matches of San Jose State’s women’s sports teams, each of which has achieved remarkable success. Let’s show our support for them this season!
Attending these games or matches is a great way to spend time with friends or family. You can make a day of it by grabbing food before or after the event, dressing in school colors, and more. Some games even feature pregame activities. For tickets or more information about the various sports, visit the SJSU Athletics website.
San Jose State’s Women’s Soccer team competes in the Mountain West Conference and NCAA Division 1. Sixteen of its players earned Fall All-Mountain West Honors, which requires student-athletes to maintain a GPA of 3.00 or higher for at least one semester and participate in at least 50 percent of the season’s games.
Their fall season kicked off on August 15 against Santa Clara and runs from August through October, culminating in the Mountain West Conference in November. Most of their games are held at the Spartan Soccer Complex, with some played on the opponents’ home fields. While game times are generally in the afternoon, there is one morning game scheduled for October. The final match of the fall season is set for October 31.
